St. John's School Mes CHamoru Event
On March 16, 2021, three board members of the Kumisión I Fino' CHamoru celebrated Mes CHamoru with the students and teachers of St. John's School. Dr. Laura Souder, Dr. Robert Underwood, and Saina Hope Cristobal gave presentations on various topics pertaining to CHamoru culture, history, language, and our island's natural environment. Dr. Robert Underwood presented on the I Na'an Lugåt Guåhan project, encouraging students and teachers to reflect on the significance of the places they live in as well as the origin of those place names.
