By law‭, ‬the President of the Department of CHamoru Affairs is a member of the Kumisión‭. ‬As such‭, ‬the Kumisión‭, ‬DCA‭, ‬and the Guam Museum collaborate closely on projects and support each other’s missions actively‭. ‬Board members and staff engage in activities that preserve and protect CHamoru history‭, ‬language‭, ‬and culture and seek ways of partnering to leverage resources and expertise in public programming and services‭.
