Because we are a small island community, our family roots intersect in many ways. So much so, it is often claimed that we are all related to one another in some manner. This is both exciting and challenging. Written records provide validation for oral information passed down through generations. These written resources take the form of published family histories, census records, vital statistics documents, obituaries, court proceedings, land records, news articles, journals, church records, and family photos. The Kumisión is actively compiling these genealogy resources to be made accessible for public use.
